‘Duplex Aquarium Cage’ by French Designer Constance Guisset, provides houses for both fish and birds within one place. It holds a fish tank on top of a birdcage at the bottom, making it appear as the bird is actually in the water and the fish is flying. The aquarium is also thermoformed so as to create a space where the bird can fly at the same visual level as the fish. What an innovative concept! Hopefully it will hit production real soon. Designed by Brandon Allen, the Calypso chair is another multifunctional furniture unit which is suitable for home, work, Internet café and any other location. It provides users with different sitting positions from studying, writing to having an informal conferencing. Underneath the sofa you’ll find a quite large storage space, as well as a place to store the backrest of the sofa for an additional surface area on top. Pretty nice design! Still no info whether it will hit production or not. [TheDesignBlog] [More »]
